The film follows three characters, a hit-man, a mobster and a corrupt detective who confront each other when events come to a head for them. Hit-man Lee Choe decides to retire to live a normal life. After refusing an order from mobster John Lowe, Lowe has Lee's girlfriend killed. In order to seek vengeance, Lee goes on a mission to kill Lowe, who turns to corrupt detective Craig Barnes to frame him. At the same time, Barnes, who's being investigated by internal affairs, has to deal with his unhappy, alcoholic wife Katie.

By moonlight, three bodies float to the surface of the western Massachusetts stretch of the Connecticut river. At South Station, Boston, Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) picks up his daughter, Emma (Bojana Novakovic), who has returned home to visit. She throws up, while getting into Thomas' car. At home, as he prepares a meal, Emma starts a nosebleed and vomits violently and as they hurriedly leave to find a hospital, a masked gunman yells, “Craven,” and fires two shotgun blasts at Emma simultaneously. Blasted through the door, she dies in Thomas' arms.



The police believe that Thomas, a police detective, was the gunman's target, but he thinks otherwise. When he finds Emma had a pistol in her night stand he checks the ownership - it belongs to her boyfriend David (Shawn Roberts). David is frightened of the company Northmoor where Emma worked and Thomas discovers that Emma became aware that Northmoor was manufacturing nuclear weapons, intended to be traced to foreign nations if they are used as dirty bombs. Following the failed break-in of the activists, Emma was poisoned with thallium through a carton of organic milk. Burning her effects in his lawn, Thomas encounters Jedburgh (Ray Winstone), a "consultant" tasked to prevent Craven from discovering Emma's information, or kill him. Liking each other, instead, Jedburgh leaves Thomas to investigate. Throughout the film, Thomas repeatedly imagines he hears and sees his daughter, even having short conversations and interactions with her.



Thomas also has several encounters with Northmoor mercenaries, and he eventually discovers through Emma's activist contact that Jack Bennett (Danny Huston), head of Northmoor, ordered the murder of his daughter, as well as the activists Emma was working with to steal evidence of the illegal nuclear weapons. Northmoor personnel kill a hitman marked as a fall guy after he is set up for killing Emma's boyfriend, and attempt to murder another activist who gave Emma's information to Thomas. After confronting a lawyer and Senator that Emma contacted, revealing that he knows almost everything that happened, Bennett has Northmoor operatives allow Thomas to be poisoned with thallium, as his daughter had been.



Thomas, now very sick, arrives at Bennett's house and kills the mercenaries, one of whom Thomas realizes is the man who shot his daughter. Bennett shoots Thomas, but Thomas tackles Bennett and pulls out the radioactive milk. He forces it down Bennett's throat and collapses. Bennett runs to his cabinet to get pills to counteract the radioactivity but Tom drags himself over and shoots Bennett through the throat.



Thomas is hospitalized for the gunshot wounds and radioactive poisoning. Jedburgh meets with Moore, the Senator and a political advisor. He listens to their suggestions as to how to play the Northmoor incident in a positive light. He tells them that he is done and then suggests an assassination attempt on the Senator should be the feature story, to drive Bennett’s death out of the tabloids. They are happy to go along with the story until Jedburgh tells the senator that he is on the wrong side of the equation. Jedburgh then pulls out his gun and shoots all three men dead before a young Massachusetts State Trooper comes in, gun drawn. Jedburgh gets the drop on the trooper and asks if the young man has a family and kids. The young man says yes and Jedburgh lowers his gun, and is instantly shot and killed by the trooper.



As Thomas lies dying in the hospital, we see Emma walk into his room, then lean down at his bedside and whisper in his ear. Across town, a young reporter opens a letter from Thomas with DVDs revealing the conspiracy, with Thomas' “good luck” wishes. As he dies, Emma comforts him. Then the father and daughter leave the hospital together, walking down the corridor into a bright, white light.

I saw the final cut for this film at my work, and I have to say I was very satisfied. It does not stop, it has very good dialogue from beginning to end. Its is very well written I have to say, an amazing production from first time director Peter Scarf. Keir Dullea does an amazing performance and Cohen is simply great. The story changes, and it is like the main caracthers are playing ping pong with each other, really amazing to watch. It is set in NY and this really helps to believe the story as you can really find anything and anyone in this great city. It was edited by one of the legends of Cinema, Tim Wellburn, who does a great job in putting the story together, and regarding the pictures, it looks beautiful ! Watch it whenever it is released !

The evil Japanese warlord Lord Godless (Simon Yam) desires to conquer China. He threatens the General in command into surrender, takes the emperor captive and subdues a large number of martial arts masters using his special poison. Among the captives are Cloud (Aaron Kwok) who surrendered out of concern for Chu Chu (Tang Yan), and the Mou Lam legend Nameless (Kenny Ho). Lord Godless gives them two choices, they can either surrender and work under him, or they will be executed. None of the masters accept the offer. Nameless then breaks free of his chains, revealing that Wind (Ekin Cheng) sneaked in earlier to give all the masters the antidote to the poison. Cloud and Wind land direct blows on Lord Godless with no noticeable effect, and even though several other martial arts masters combine their powers to attack Lord Godless, they lose the contest of strength and are killed. Nameless uses his special attack on Lord Godless, using his chi to launch all the captured masters' swords at Lord Godless, Lord Godless takes the attack head on and blocks all the swords while Nameless suffers serious internal injuries because he overtaxed himself while not fully recovered from the poison. Some other martial artists raid the prison on horseback and Nameless, Cloud, Wind and Chu Chu manage to escape, while Lord Godless sends his son, Heart and two lieutenants, Earth and Sky, after Nameless with an army, with orders to destroy any martial arts schools along the way who will not surrender.



Nameless is badly injured and will not be able to recover his full strength to fight with Lord Godless for a significant period of time, so he sends Cloud and Wind to find Piggy King's elder brother, Lord Wicked, who is the only person who can fight Lord Godless now. They go to the mountain where he has hid himself from the outside world but are unsuccessful in persuading him to help, until Wind's lover Second Dream shows up and aids in persuading Lord Wicked. Lord Wicked comes out of his cave, revealing that he had chopped off his own arms years ago. This was his attempt to stop killing innocent people because he had lost control of himself in his younger days while practicing evil kung-fu. He kicks some pebbles at Cloud and Wind to test how they react, Cloud crushes the pebbles totally while Wind only catches them intact. Lord Wicked states that Cloud is too aggressive and will not be able to handle training in the evil way, while Wind has more control and might be able to return to normal. Lord Wicked then starts training Wind in evil arts while Cloud is summoned to meet Nameless at Lin Yi Temple.



At Lin Yi Temple, Cloud fights a disguised Nameless, who states that Cloud has massive potential, able to accurately learn his styles in a short period of time, and trains him, eventually creating a new sword style which Nameless names "Ba", inventing a new character partially resembling the characters "Cloud" and "Sword". Lord Godless discovers where Nameless, Wind and Cloud have been hiding and dispatches Earth and Sky to kill Nameless while sending a few warriors after Wind. At the temple, Cloud easily defeats Earth and Sky in a single blow, but as Lord Wicked and the others are fighting off the warriors that Lord Godless sent, Second Dream gets injured and Wind interrupts his training to come out of the cave and save her, killing the warriors in the process. Afterward he leaves with his training unfinished, despite it supposedly not being possible to leave the pool yet. Cloud arrives to find Wind gone, and Lord Wicked sends Cloud after Lord Godless as he is trying to find the Dragon Tomb which contains a secret that deals with the destiny of China.



Lord Godless meanwhile has taken the Emperor and his family as hostages and is searching for the Dragon Tomb. The Emperor refuses to help him, but Heart is able to find out which path into the tomb is the correct one through the use of his chi that generated a massive wind when he picked the correct passage. Once at the end of the path, Heart starts threatening the Emperor for more information on the Dragon Tomb, but as he refuses to speak, Heart starts killing his wives and sons. Cloud arrives, and the guards which were Imperial Guards that were forced to surrender, switch sides instantly and pull the Emperor out of harm's way. Cloud and Heart exchanges blows, Heart backs off after the first exchange, and Cloud and Lord Godless starts fighting, Cloud initially has the upper hand but is unable to injure Lord Godless due to his near invincible armor. In the fight, a pile of rocks is blown away, revealing the entrance to the real Dragon Tomb, which contains a human skeleton sitting upright. Lord Godless almost kills Cloud in the next exchange of blows, but Wind, whom has been thoroughly possessed by the evil arts, arrives and fights against first Lord Godless, then Cloud, and then both of them, eventually killing Lord Godless by cutting off his arm from the underside of his armor, which was not as well protected and stealing the Dragon Bone, the secret of the tomb.



As Cloud chases after Wind, the Emperor begs Cloud to retrieve the Dragon Bone as it is crucial to the destiny of China. Second Dream eventually finds Wind at the secret place she had written to him in a letter about, but Wind just sits there with minimal response, and eventually the Emperor's guards arrive to try and take the Dragon Bone back. However as the General struggles with Second Dream over the dragon bone, Heart, which had escaped from the previous battle, grabs the bone and heavily injures the General, as the General and Heart struggle for the bone, it breaks into two and Wind gets fully taken over by the evil spirit again. Cloud arrives and fights Wind to try and bring him back, but fails as Wind eventually wounds Second Dream and also kills Chu Chu. In a final gambit, Cloud hurls his sword at Wind, cutting him on the forehead and Wind miraculously regains control. The cliff side has taken serious damage in the battle however, and a large section collapses, causing Wind and Second Dream (who walks over to check on her beloved) to fall off the cliff. Cloud is not in the section of the cliff that collapses. However, Cloud jumps off the cliff as well, manages to fall faster than the Wind and Second Dream, and exerts a force to push Wind and Second Dream back to safety. In doing so, Cloud plummets into the depths, but there is no scene of him dying. Sitting safely on the stable part of the cliff, Wind laments about why Cloud did not kill him earlier when Cloud had the chance. The movie ends abruptly at this stage.

Whereas the dark, post-apocalyptic reimagined series revolved around a final struggle for survival, Caprica is concerned with a world intoxicated by success. Ronald D. Moore states: "It's about a society that's running out of control with a wild eyed glint in its eye."[7] The Twelve Colonies are at their peak: self-involved, oblivious, and mesmerized by the seemingly unlimited promise of technology. Framed by the conflict between the Adamas and the Graystones over the resurrection of loved ones lost in an act of terrorism, the series will explore ethical implications of advances in artificial intelligence and robotics.[3]



Set against the backdrop of a society with technology ahead of our own, Caprica is grounded in urban locales rather than in space, and focuses on corporate, political, familial, and personal intrigue. With the troubled relationship between two families at its center, Moore himself has likened Caprica to the 1980s prime time soap opera Dallas, and it has been referred to as "television's first science fiction family saga".[9]

Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Liv (Kate Hudson) are best friends who have planned every detail of their weddings since they first witnessed a wedding at the Plaza Hotel. Therefore, they both have made it lifetime priority to be married in the same location.



The movie begins with the two women getting engaged at the age of 26. They then schedule their weddings with New York's most famous wedding planner, Marion St. Claire (Candice Bergen), but due to a clerical error they're scheduled to have a wedding on the same day, June 6. A week of passive aggressive hostility passes before the two women make it clear that neither will compromise, especially after Liv tries to take advantage of Emma's passive nature and outrages Emma in the process. During this time Emma's fiancé, Fletcher (Chris Pratt), begins to show signs of being controlling.



The women both attempt to sabotage the other's wedding, including Liv making Emma's tan turn bright orange, Emma tampering with Liv's hair dye to make it turn Liv's hair blue-white, Emma showing up to Liv's bachelorette party to out-dance her, and Emma secretly sending Liv chocolate and lollipops to make her too fat to fit into her dress. Eventually, Emma and Fletcher get into an argument regarding Emma's manic behavior of sabotaging Liv's wedding and their friendship.



Both brides-to-be are then shown to be in the Plaza very shortly before they're due to be wed, separately. Right before Liv leaves to begin her march to the altar, she encounters Emma's father and receives his blessing; she regrets setting up a wild spring break CD to play at Emma's wedding. She sends her best man to replace the wrong CD with the right one, filled with childhood memories, but he does not do so, dropping the CD into a flowerplant and muttering, "You'll thank me one day."



Emma begins her walk down the aisle but stops when the footage of her spring break is shown. She loses her temper completely and tackles Liv after sprinting to the other section of the plaza. The two brides wrestle in their dresses on the floor while the rest of the room looks on, the people closest to the brides having decided it would be best to let the brides resolve the problem. After tussling Emma and Liv lie on the ground panting, and then make up almost instantly. Emma stands up and walks over to Fletcher who is upset at Emma's behavior. Emma tells Fletcher she is not the person he fell in love with and she is unwilling to change to stay with him. With that, the two tearfully call off their wedding. Liv's wedding resumes with Emma participating and, eventually, dancing with Nate, Liv's brother.



The movie picks up a year later when Emma and Liv meet up for "drinks", during which it's revealed that Emma married Nate. Emma and Liv also reveal to each other that they're pregnant and that their due dates are the same, March 3.

Six teenagers wake up in an abandoned factory, with no clue of what's going on or how they got there. Then their "Host" named "Tetris" talks to them (over a PA system) then tells them that they are on a reality show called Are You Scared. But the challenges that they have to do are real. And if they fail, they will be disqualified... permanently.

In the year 2019, a plague has transformed much of the world's population into vampires. Edward Dalton (Ethan Hawke) is a hematologist employed by Bromley Marks, a pharmaceutical company that is the chief supplier of blood for the American population. The company is operated by Charles Bromley (Sam Neill). As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human for their blood, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. When deprived of blood for extended periods of time, vampires lose their human-like characteristics and begin to transform into winged bat-like monsters called "sub-siders," which have diminished mental capacity and no ability to speak and are driven strictly by their impulse to feed. However, a covert group of humans makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race. After being saved by Edward, Audrey (Claudia Karvan) - the group's leader - brings him in on the secret: there is a cure to vampirism. One of the group, Elvis (Willem Dafoe), is a human who was cured of being a vampire. Following a car crash in which he was thrown through the windshield, and into a river, he is exposed to sunlight by accident for a very short time before hitting the water, thus extinguishing the fire. Upon emerging, he discovers that he is human again. Edward attempts to replicate this by using a fermentation vat with an added trap door to initiate controlled sunlight exposure, concluding that the blood needs to be exposed to sunlight while in the human body for the treatment to be effective. After several controlled exposures using the vat's air vent to suck out the oxygen and extinguish the fire, the experiment is successful and Edward is cured.



Meanwhile a convoy of humans is on its way back to the humans' shelter. The convoy includes the human daughter of Charles Bromley, Alison (Isabel Lucas), who abandoned her father after he became a vampire. They are ambushed by a troop of vampires and taken to Bromley Marks. Alison then comes face to face with her father, who attempts to convince her that being a vampire is a better life. She then stabs him and tries to run. Frankie (Michael Dorman), Edward's brother and part of Bromley Marks security, renders her unconscious. Bromley then persuades Frankie to turn Alison into a vampire, despite her resistance to becoming one. Later Bromley goes to see how his daughter is. He sees that Alison refuses to drink blood and has been feeding on herself, causing her to begin to transform into a sub-sider. Due to increasing attacks on normal vampires, Bromley then orders troops to capture all sub-siders and kill them. The troops chain a bunch together to a Humvee and start dragging them into the sunlight. Frankie watches the sub-siders being dragged out and becomes horrified when he realizes one of them is Alison. She looks at Frankie as she's being dragged out in the sunlight, and burns to death before Frankie's eyes, filling him with regret for having turned her against her will.



They go to Edward's friend and colleague Chris for help in spreading the cure, but he betrays them by alerting Bromley. Chris has discovered a blood-substitute and does not want a cure to become widespread. Vampires storm Chris' house and a battle ensues in which Elvis and Edward escape, but Audrey is captured and brought to Bromley Marks.



In the search for Edward and Elvis, they are found by Frankie, who is slowly becoming a sub-sider. The latter reveals that he turned Edward into a vampire not because of a selfish desire for blood or for company, but because he didn't want to face Edward's inevitable death (possibly by being captured and farmed for blood). Frankie initially decides to help them, but his desire for blood causes him to feed on Elvis. In doing so, it is realized that feeding on a former vampire is also a cure and Frankie becomes human again. Edward turns himself in to Bromley to save Audrey and tries to trick him by telling Bromley he wishes to return to being a vampire and spread the cure. However Bromley is uninterested in a cure, since Chris has discovered a blood substitute and it was ready for mass production. Edward then enrages Bromley by saying he was a coward for making Frankie turn Alison and that he couldn't do it himself. This tricks the furious Bromley into feeding on Edward, which cures him. Edward and Audrey then send him downstairs tied to a chair where a massive group of soldiers are waiting; they feed on him and are cured as well. Edward and Audrey escape downstairs but are cornered by more soldiers. Frankie crashes through the glass doors in Elvis' Pontiac Trans-Am and saves them, giving Edward and Audrey time to escape by sacrificing himself to the soldiers, thus spreading the cure as the soldiers who feed on him are subsequently fed off of by other vampire soldiers in a mass feeding frenzy.



After the feeding frenzy is over, Frankie is dead and all but six soldiers, who are now human, have been killed. However, the soldiers are killed immediately by Edward's former friend Chris in an effort to hide all evidence of the cure; Chris is then killed by Elvis in defense and to defend Edward and Audrey. Edward, Elvis and Audrey drive away into the sunrise with Edward proclaiming that they now are the cure and will cure any vampire who wishes to be human again.

In 1905, Sun Yat-sen (called "Sun Wen" in the film) intends to come to Hong Kong (then a colony of the British Empire) to discuss his plans for revolution with fellow Tongmenghui members to overthrow the corrupt and crumbling Qing Dynasty. Empress Dowager Cixi sends a group of assassins led by Yan Xiaoguo to kill Sun. Revolutionary Chen Shaobai arrives in Hong Kong a few days before Sun's arrival, to meet Li Yutang, a businessman who provides financial aid for the revolutionaries. As Sun Wen's arrival day draws near, trouble begins brewing in Hong Kong as Chen Shaobai's acquaintances are murdered and Chen himself is kidnapped by the assassins during a raid. Li Yutang decides to officially declare his support for the revolutionaries after the newspaper agency is closed by the British authorities, who maintain a policy of laissez-faire towards China's political situation. Li rallies a group of men, including rickshaw pullers, hawkers and a beggar, to serve as bodyguards for Sun Wen when he arrives. Li's son Li Chongguang is chosen to act as a decoy for Sun Wen to divert the assassins away while Sun attends the meeting and leaves Hong Kong safely.

A group of young people sailing on a yacht get caught in a storm, and are forced to board a passing ocean liner. Once on board, they realize that the ship is empty. Jess however feels that she has been there before. Eventually she realises that she has been and attempts to unravel the mystery.
